Amsha Ramburan

Studied at the University of Natal completing B.Med.Sci, B.Med.Sci (Hons) and an M.Med.Sci (Anatomical Pathology). Masters degree project involved the molecular and immunohistochemical investigation of cell adhesion molecules in nephroblastomas. Thereafter, joined the Medical Research Council (MRC) as a Research Intern based at the Centre for Molecular and Cellular Biology, Department of Medical Biochemistry, University of Stellenbosch. Embarked on a PhD investigating the N-terminal interactors of cardiac myosin-binding protein C (cMyBPC) under various phosphorylation conditions. After graduating took up employment with the NHLS (Anatomical Pathology) as a medical scientist. Apart from working on the diagnostic platform, current research interests include lymphomas and soft tissue tumours.
